CONSULAR ANNOUNCEMENT

Conditions on acceptance of Covid-19 Vaccination Certificates/Cards from other countries in Iran according to the Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MOHME)

This is to inform all the esteemed travelers to Iran that:

According to the Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MOHME) of the Islamic Republic of Iran, COVID-19 vaccination certificates/cards are recognized as valid only if the following conditions are fulfilled regardless of their issuing countries:

1- Having QR Code, readable by a machine or the Covid Pass app. (Mandatory)

2- The certificates should contain Full name, National ID Number / Passport Number (for foreign travelers)

3- The certificate should clearly indicate the name of the vaccine administered, number of COVID-19 vaccine doses, date of receiving each dose

Note: If this information is readable on QR Code, it will not be necessary to insert items number 2 and 3 on the physical card.

Regarding the type of the vaccine, all vaccines that are validated for use by WHO (given Emergency Use Listing), including Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, Astrazeneca, Covishield (Covaxin), Johnson & Johnson, Sinopharm, Sinovak and Bharat, as well as the vaccines registered in the Islamic Republic of Iran will be acceptable.
